1. The above referenced projects, collectively, call for
25 nautical mile radius searches of 94 areas in China to deter-
mine evidence of mining activity and whether such mining is for
uranium.
2. Thirty-nine (39) of the 94 search areas have now been
examined on clear recent coverage. Of these, 26 were
found to have mining activity an 13 were negated. The mining
activities which were located included all categories of mining
operations varying from large active mines of various types
(shaft, tunnel and open pit) to small prospect-type operations.
3. The mining areas discovered in these searches have been
located by geographical coordinates and a brief pertinent descrip-
tion recorded for each. Such information gathered will be published
in report form at the conclusion of the searches.
