1. This memorandum is in response to your requirement dated 19 December 1962
.requesting a 10 wn search of the area around 35-23N 79-325 for?radar and/or
electronic equipment.
2. A search d the photography of revealed a radar site at 2 X1
35-23N 79.37E? The following items were observed: one, SCR-270 radar with no
associated radars or electronics. One control center, four possible canvas
covered vans, two other vans, two vehicles, one probable open storage area and
two possible open storage areas. One building with a probable walkway is possibly
a communications site because of its location within the area and its apparent
importance as denoted by the walkway, however, no masts or antennae were observed
at the site. The photography was clear and of good quality, however, scale and
obliquity precluded dimensional analysis.
