1. This memorandum is in response ti-) yoix req+airg.ent dated 1.1 October 1963
requesting enlargements of SAM related activity observed. on and 25
a complete order of battle of each site.

the items of interest:
revealed the following information on
a. Lan Chou (36-02N 103-46E) Early stagt-cof construction of SA site.
The ring road, two launch positions and ceentrktl elet-trotiics area are uisibHP. No
activity or equipment observed.
b. Lan Chou (Chia -Kuan -Yi ng) 3;-514N 104_(i4E+, Heavy track activity of
a circular pattern is visible. No other -Indi-ration of f`-AM activity or equipment
is observed. Seven unidentified vehicles are parkeo in secured area nearly.
