PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIES OF GUIDELINE MISSILES
This brief, in answer to two CIA/ORR requirements, presents the
results of photographic studies made by the Foreign Technology Division
(FTD) of the Air Force Systems Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force
Base, Dayton, Ohio. One requirement (RR/E/R30/61) requests determina-
25X6 tion of whether the Guideline missile photographed at the SA-2 SAM launch
site has a nose probe. From examination
25X1 of the p otograp y ate June 1961), the presence or absence
of a nose probe on this missile could not be determined.
The second requirement (RR/E/R31/61) asks for a comparison of the
Guideline missiles photographed at parades in Budapest (May 1960), and
Prague (1961) and Moscow (7 November 1957). In response, Figure 1,
which presents three sketches based on FTD drawings, illustrates this
comparison.
