REQUIREMENT RR/HTA/E/R21/58: Locate and describe fluorspar mining activity which reportedly exists at Chimbargatinsk, in the basin of the Ugam River, approximately 65 kilometers northeast of Tashkent, USSR. There is no evidence of ore processing or significant mining activity at Chimbargatinsk or else- where in the area scanned. The only apparent mining activity is a small strip mine located three kilometers west of Khumsan, a small town near the mouth of the Ugam River.
