(Published and Disseminated by CIA./PIC) SUBJECT : Possible Rocket Propulsion NO. : PIC/JB-5/60 Test Complex DATE: 18 January 1960 LOCATION: 26 nautical miles northwest of LAT : 53 0 33' N Kuybyshev, USSR LONG: 49? 50' E WAC NO : 165 MAP DATA: US Air Target Chart - Series 200 (S), Scale 1:200,000 A possible rocket propulsion test complex under construction has been identified near Kuybyshev, USSR at 53?33'N/49?50'E, approximately 26 nautical miles northwest of Kuybyshev. The complex, which will be served by rail as well as road, is characterized by extensive heavy construction activity. A probable water line to serve the complex is also under con- struction.
