This brief, the result of a preliminary photographic analysis,
identifies an electronics /communications site located near Sary Shagan,
USSR, at 46?04'N/73?20'E. The site is square, fence-enclosed, and
served by a power line and dirt road. It contains a rectangular main
building, four smaller support buildings, and two bunkers with vents.
Near one end of the main building and supported by four guy wires is a
large mast topped by what appear to be two horn antennas. The site also
contains additional antennas, of the horizontal-wire type, and three truck-
type parked vehicles.
NOTE: Because of the poor quality of base maps of this area and
the scattered cloud cover on the photography, it is emphasized that the
geographic positioning of this site is only approximate at this time.
