This brief supplements HTA - 8,

1 dated 48 March 1958, and re-
ports an area, previously unidentified, as a possible electronic site.
This small fenced area is located approximately 300 feet north of
Mys Kokchukat Administration Area (see Plate 5, JR-3-58). It is 50
feet square and contains a small sht:d, 5 feet square, and to stick

These masts indicate the possible presence of an antenna array.
Previous study of the administration area has not revealed a satisfactory
explanation for the communications system between Vozrozhdeniya Island
and Aralsk. This facility may be a part of such a system.
