REMARKS
The FLIM FLAM station reported in the Makat area of the USSR has
been identified on photography of 1 11 The station is located at 25X1 D
47-55N 53-48E, 25 nautical miles northeast of Makat. This station appears
similar to FLIM FLA.M Station No 3 on the western shore of Lake Balkhash
(see CIA./PIC/JR-16/60, listed above). The Makat station consists of an
interferometer, a probable instrumentation area (containing a small circular
concrete pad), a control area, an airfield, and a support area. No timing-
tone rhombics have been identified.
