Summary of Coverage
Mission C 6045, flown I November 1959, covered the south
portion of the Kurile Islands, Russian-occupied since World War II,
lying northeast of eastern Hokkaido, Japan. Portions of Kunashir
and Iturup Islands were covered from a great horizontal distance,
and six smaller islands lying southeast of Kunashir were covered in
oblique photography.
Quality
Quality of target image for PI ranges from fair to very poor.
All of the targets are on oblique views; some are extremely far out.
