SUBJECT: Suspect SSM Facility Near Warsaw, Poland

1. This memorandum is in answer to Requirement AFIC-15, which
requests photoanalysis of an installation covered on KEYHOLE Mission
_and located at 51-53N 21-30E, 35 miles southeast of Warsaw, Poland.
This installation is described in the AFIC Requirement as an "SSM launch
and support facility."
2. After thorough study, NPIC does not identify this facility as an
SSM launch and suppor.t.facility. Although the installation is located in 25X1 D
the forest and is road-served, the configuration is not similar to that of
the IRBM/MRBM launch areas identified on Missions While
positive identification of the activity cannot be made from t is p otography,
the area may possibly function as a small storage facility.
