The major changes in the plant layout since are as follows: 25X1D a. A new assembly-type building (700'x175' as been added near the NE corner of the plant area. This building appears to be single story, approx. 40' high, 3f steel construction, and has a flat roof with twin longitudinal monitors. b. Across the plant street from this new assembly building a previously existing building has been enlarged to approx. three times its original size. It is now an "L" shaped building, measuring 650'x 150' and L50'x 250'. c, Just north of the above "L" shaped building are two new ore, or scrap metal, storage sheds or bins. Each is approx. 825'x 75', and both are equipped with overhead travelling cranes. 2. This plant does not have coke ovens or blast furnaces. There are 6 open hearth furnaces in a building that was designed for 7 furnaces. Of the 6 stacks, 3 were smoking at time of photography. 3. Reports that this steel plant is producing tanks are probably true. A new vehicle or tank testing area is located in a large wooded area approx. 22 miles SE of the steel plant. This testing area consists of two connected tracks each approx. 3 miles long, and a probable vehicle servicing building (100'x 65'). One track is a continuous loop, shaped like a dog bone. The second track has a loop at one end and right angle turns at the other. A very wide dirt road leads from the steel plant to this new vehicle testing area. DOCUMENTNO.
