Refinery, "Polmin", Drogobych, USSR. Report any evidence of new con-
struction or plant expansion.
REMARKS:
,The Drogobych Petroleum Refinery, "PQlmin"' is located on the eastern
edge of the city of Drogobych, in the western part of the Ukrainian S.B.R.
This refinery was almost'completely destroyed during World War II but has
since been reconstructed.
25X1 D A comparison of photography with the Target Mosaic composed
25X1 D of photographic cover of shows that the larger buildings have been
rebuilt and modernized, but t ere are fewer storage tanks and distillation
units. The major components of the refinery are identified and described
on the accompanying annotated photograph.
The former "Nafta" Petroleum. Refinery, located just north of the
"Polmin" refinery, was severely damaged during World War II and is no
longer engaged roleum refining. Storage tanks and refinery equip-
25X1 D ment visible on photography have been removed. The site of this
former refinery is now occupied by a plant reportedly producing oil drill-
ing equipment.

The Drogobych Petroleum Refinery., "Galicja", the only other refinery
