The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the Production Center IPla. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. The area contains 2 flat-trajectory ranges, a small-arms firing range, a driver-training course, and infantry training facilities (Figure 2). There are 3 additional small-arms ranges in the Gusev Army Barracks Northeast. ?KEYHOLE missions covered this target. No change was observed. The nearest rail service is in Gusev, 4 km south. Good, all-weather secondary roads and tank trails serve the area. Small-Arms Firing Range Area L is a 300- by 35-foot small-arms firing range with earth sides. Area M contains 1 figure-8 training area, 1 irregularly shaped training course, 2 pos- sible obstacles, and a control building with a tower. Flat-Trajectory Firing Ranges Area P1 is a 2,500-foot flat-trajectory firing range with 7 moving targets and an oval track for vehicles. The range is probably used for firing rifles and automatic weapons from the side of an APC, andforfiring armored vehicle weapons from fixed positions. The range has 7 firing points and a control build- ing with an adjacent tower. Area P2 is a 1,200-foot flat-trajectory firing range with 1 moving target and several fixed targets, The range is probably used for firing automatic weapons from fixed posi- tions. The range has 5 firing points and a control building with an adjacent tower. Infantry or Combined Arms Field Training Area Area R is an infantry training area con- taining scattered personnel trenches and em- placements.
