Launch Area A, located 4.3 nmwest-south-
west of the complex support facility, consists of
a single-silo launch site and groups of associated
buildings to the northeast and east (Figure 5).
The area was first observed in an early stage of
construction in February 1964
1963
The launch site, approximately 2,555 by
1,800 feet at the extremities, is enclosed by a
hexagonal security fence. The unusually large
site, containing an excavation with 2 earth ramps
leading into it, is in a midstage of construction.
Distances from the excavation to the north and
southeast extremities of the security fence are
1,000 and 1,450 feet, respectively. Anunidenti-
field object, possibly a construction ramp, ex-
tends from the edge to the approximate center
of the excavation. Some equipment is visible
within the excavation. Spoil has been piled in a
rectangular mound on the northwest side, and a
square mound on the southeast side of the exca-
vation. The square mound possibly is surfaced
with concrete. There are 11 small buildings
within the launch site, and a ground scar is
visible in the northeast corner. A security build-
ing is adjacent to the entrance to the site.
The groups of associated buildings are, re-
spectively, 1,900 and 2,800 feet northeast and
east of the excavation. The eastern group con-
tains 8 buildings, including 2 large parallel build-
ings, and the other contains 4 buildings. The spe-
cific functions of these buildings have not been
determined.
Launch Area B, located 1.8 nm northwest of
the complex support facility, consists of a single-
silo launch site and some associated buildings to
the southeast (Figure 6). The launch area was
first detected in June 1964 ut25X1
was not evident on photography of February 1964
The stage of construct ior25X1
could not be determined on the June 1964 photog-
raphy.
The launch site, approximately 990 by 980
feet, is enclosed by aboard fence. It is in a mid-25X1
stage of construction and contains a square exca-
vation with 2 earth ramps leading into it. There25X1
is also some equipment within the excavation.
Spoil has been piled in a rectangular mound on the
northwest side of the excavation, and a square
mound on the southeast side. Both mounds pos-
sibly are surfaced with concrete. The launch site
also contains 12 small buildings of various sizes,
including a security building at the entrance.
The group of associated buildings adjacent to
the southeast side of the launch site contains 2
large parallel buildings and 8 smaller buildings.
The specific functions of these buildings have not
been determined.
Launch Area C, located 4.0 nm north-north-
east of the complex support facility, consists of
a single-silo launch site and associated buildings
to the northwest (Figure 7). The launch area was
first seen in July 1964 nd ca125X1

The stage of construction
could not be determined on the July 1964 pho-
tography.
The launch site, enclosed by a pentagonal
security fence, is in a midstage of construction.
The site, like that at Launch Area A, is unusual-
ly large and contains a square excavation with
2 earth ramps leading into it. A launch silo is
under construction within the excavation. Dis-
tances from the excavation to the northeast and
east sides of the security fence are 1,200 and

rectangular mound on the northwest side of the
excavation, and a square mound on the southeast
side. Both mounds possibly are surfaced with
concrete. A ground scar and 10 very small build-

cent to the entrance, are also within the launch
site,
