Brief descrip- tions of each of these facilities are presented below. In addition, figure I locates the 5 facilities and, as requested, relates them to the major known military installations, air- fields, and transportation and electronic/com- munications facilities in the Chita area as observed on recent photography. Location: 10 nm north of Chita Coordinates: 52-11-50N 113-28-20E 0 Description: This facility includes a single control building surrounded by a large antenna farm that contains an undetermined number of rhombic, horizontal dipole, and other, uniden- tified types of antennas. The entire area is enclosed by a single security fence, and there are 10 support buildings within the secured area. Probable Communications Facility (item 18, Figure 11 Location: 5.8 nm north of Chita Coordinates: 52-07-SON 113-29-30E 0 Description: Lnclosed by a single security fence, this facility consists of a L'-shaped probable control building, 2 support buildings, and a probable antenna farm. Identification of the facility is based on the similarity of its layout to that of other known l1P communi- cations facilities although no actual antennas or guy anchor positions are visible. A support area consisting of 9 buildings is situated immediately to the northeast of the security fence and probably serves as ::uppo)rt for the nearby Chita Airfield. Probable Communications Facility [item 19, Figure 11 Location: 4.5 rim northwest of ita 25X1 D Coordinates: 52-05-30N 113 25-30i Photographic Mission: I 25X1 D Description: Within the single secu ity fence at this facility are a probable con rol building, 17 support buildings, and a probable antenna farm.
