Fixed Field Site No 2 (Figure 1) is lo- cated in a sloping, heavily wooded area, at an approximate elevation of 1,100 feet, 7.2 nau- tical miles (nm) southwest of Maykop in the Adygey Autonomous Oblast. The site is lo- cated 2.2 nm northwest of I ,aunch Area No 1, 7.5 nm north-northeast of Launch Area No 2, and 11.7 nm west-northwest of Fixed Field Site No 1. The site was first observed in at which time the road pattern and 2, possibly 3, of the launch positions were evident. Launch Areas No I and 2 and Field Site No I were complete. They were all first seen and identified in Field Site No 2 can be negated i The site was again covered 25X1 D in but because 25X1 D of snow cover a detailed interpretation was not possible. Ad' ditionally, there appeared to be a nmoun-i o,- structure in the possible fourth position \Nhich could not be identified. On latest coverage in the site had shown some small change (Figure 2). No activity has been observed at the site on any of the photography. The access road enters the site from the southeast and terminates in a crossbar forming a T-shaped pattern. One launch position is located at each end of the crossbar and 2 other launch positions are located on the northern side of the access road. This places 3 of the launch positions in an east-west line, with the fourth position located south of the westernmost position. The distances between the 3 positions in line are- - The fourth position is south of the westernmost position. The dis- tance between the fourth position and eastern- most position is t,000 feet. The approximate dimensions of the positions, startin with the westernmost position, are 25X1 D 0/65 25X1 D is located between 2 of the noriaern positions. The azimuth of the launch posi ions is 175 degrees, which closely appr-coxirr:,ites that of Launch Area No 1, which is 171 deg- yes. The field site and the remainder of the camolex probably have rail- to-roadfaciliries at :MavKop, which has the nearest rail line. No rail -to- road transfer point is identifiable. Fixed Field Site No 2 is connected to the remainder of the complex and Field tiite No I by primary and improved secondary roads which probably are also all-weather rords. There is no security fence evident around the site, but the pattern of cutting in the tdja,-.ent woods would form an effective icreen against ground-level observation. SAC. US Air Target.
