The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the Production Center 1Pla. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. This installation is adjacent to Kaunas Radio Station No 1 Luisberg (BE The barracks installation covers 64 acres and contains 17 multistory barracks, 3 other barracks, 7 multistory administration build- ings, 14 storage buildings, a powerplant, a transformer building, a secured multistory electronics building, 8 other electronics build- ings, 2 motor vehicle storage buildings, 4 other buildings, a small-arms firing range, and an athletic field (Figures 2 and 3). This area was covered on Ophotog- raphy of and on interpretable A comparative analysis reveals that the barracks installation has been expanded. Four of the multistory barracks and 4 of the storage buildings have been con- structed since 1956. Two other buildings have been extended since then. An artificial lake on the northwest edge of the installation is Railroad Service The nearest rail line is 5 km north. Road Service The installation has access to primary roads between Kaunas and Prienai. Administration and Troop Housing Area Area D contains 17 multistory barracks with 18 small associated buildings, 3 other barracks, 2 utility buildings, 6 multistory ad- ministration buildings, a multistory messhall, and another messhall. Four of the barracks, 5 of the buildings associated with them, and 1 of the utility buildings are new since F_ General Storage Area Area E contains 14 storage buildings, a pumphouse and water tower, a multistory ad- ministration building, a powerplant, a guard- house, and a multistory transformer build- ing. Four buildings have been constructed and a building has been extended since 1956. Other Buildings Area H contains a multistory electronics building and 8 other electronics buildings. These buildings are located in a reported antenna field. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Area Area J contains a vehicle maintenance and storage building, 165 by 65 feet, and a vehicle maintenance and storage building, 75 by 55 feet. The small building has been constructed since 1956, and the large building is comprised of 2 buildings which were then separate. photography of 0 Small-Arms Firing Range Area L is a small-arms firing range measuring 300 by 30 feet.
