The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NP IC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the Production Center IP Ia. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. The secured barracks area covers approximately 310 acres and includes the Saratov Tank OCS 25X1 A (BE No - For this report, the installation is sub- divided into the following areas: administration/ barracks, school, motor vehicle storage/ maintenance, and training. The administration/ barracks area contains 31 barracks, 9 adminis- tration buildings, and 36 other buildings. The school area contains 9 administration/barracks buildings, 9 maintenance buildings, 4 storage buildings, and 8 support buildings. The motor vehicle storage /maintenance sectors contain 6 support and 4 motor vehicle maintenance/ storage buildings and approximately 300 vehicles or pieces of equipment. Training facilities include 2 small-arms ranges, an athletic field, a possible athletic field and swimming pool, a parade ground, an irregularly shaped driver- training course, and a special training area Figures 2 and 3 During this period, 4 multistory barracks and 10 other buildings were added and 21 storage/support buildings were removed. Area D2, the barracks/ administration area, contains 31 multistory barracks, 9 multistory administration buildings, 7 storage buildings, and 29 miscellaneous support buildings. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Areas Area J 1 contains a motor vehicle/equipment park with approximately 300 vehicles/pieces of equipment parked in 7 rows. Area J2, a motor vehicle storage/mainte- nance area, contains 1 motor vehicle storage/ maintenance shed, 600 by 40 feet, 3 motor vehicle storage/ maintenance buildings, one 225 by 45 feet and two 390 by 45 feet, and 6 support buildings. Area J3, an equipment maintenance area, possibly part of the tank OCS, contains 9 mainte- nance buildings, 4 storage buildings, and 8 support/administration buildings. Area K1 contains an oval athletic field. Area K2 contains a parade ground.
