The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. The installation covers approximately 535 acres and contains 3 administration buildings, I. administration/support building, 2 barracks, 22 possible barracks, 3 storage buildings, 5 probable storage buildings, 2 probable vehicle sheds, at least 9 explosives storage buildings, 3 range control buildings, and 52 support buildings. The installation also contains a bivouac area, a motor park, an athletic field, a tracked/wheeled vehicle driver-training circuit, a tank/assault- gun firing range, a firing range that appears to be used by armored personnel carriers, an area of emplacement training, a probable com- bined arms field training course, and an uni- dentified facility (Figures 2 and 3). This installation was covered by mission in Track activity on this coverage was light to medium. Numerous buildings appear to have been destroyed, and some segments of the area appear to be in a state of disuse. Road Service A secondary, probable rill-weather road connects this installation to Burevestnik. Administration and 'Troop Housing Areas Area Di contains 3 administration build- ings, 2 barracks, 22 possible barracks, 5 prob- able storage building, and 25 support buildings. Area D2 is a bivouac area with an un- determined number of tent bases ana an ad- ministration/support building. General Storage Area Area E is a general storage area with 3 storage buildings and a support building. Ammunition Storage Area An explosives storage depot, located 3 kn-m southwest of the barracks area, contains at least 9 revetted explosives storage buildings. 11OL Storage Areas POL storage is available in Burevestnik. Other Buildings There are 32 additional support buildings dispersed throughout the barracks area. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Area Area J is secured and contains 2 prob- able vehicle sheds (one 170 by 35 feet and one 115 by 35 feet), 3 support buildings, and a 300- by 200-foot motor park. Athletic Fields .,Area K. is an athletic field. Driver Training Area Area '4 is a tracked/wheeled vehicle driver- training circuit, with evidence of light activity. Tank/Assault-Gun Firing Ranges Area Ni is a 4,250 foot tank/assault-gun firing range with two approximately 2,500-foot lanes and a moving target run. This range appears to be used by armored personnel carriers or similar vehicles and :is lightly active. Artillery Emplacements (Batteries) Area Q is an emplacement training area. Infantry or Combined Arms Field Training Area or Courses Area R is a probable combined arms field training course. The 3 range control buildings located immediately west of the course may indicate that static firing is carried out from the start of the course toward the moving target runs on tank/assault-gun firing range N2. Unidentified Facilities or Tracking Activity Area T is a cross-shaped, probable con- crete hardstand.
