This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NP IC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center iPla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the Production Center IPla.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,
(D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am-
munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage /maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,
(L) small arms firing ranges, (M) driver training areas, (N) tank/
assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat trajectory firing ranges, (Q) artillery
emplacements (batteries), (R) infantry or combined arms field train-
ing areas or courses, (S) special training facilities, (T) unidentified
facilities or tracking activity.

This storage facility is located 8 kilometers
(km) southwest of Pskov (Figure 1) and is
composed of 2 general storage areas, 1 ammu-
nition storage area, and 1 administrative/
troop housing area.
The installation, situated in a partially
wooded region, covers approximately 200 acres,
and contains 3 administrative, 13 support, and
24 storage buildings and 17 tents/tent bases.
Two of the storage areas are double fenced

An abandoned rail spur off the Pskov-
Pechory rail line passes through the installa-
tion.
Road Service
A primary road from Pskov serves the
installation.
Administration and Troop Housing Areas
Area D1 contains 3 administration-type
buildings and 13 support buildings.
Area D2 contains 17 tents/tent bases.
General Storage Areas
Area El contains 8 storage buildings.

area and are surrounded by a firebreak. Each

ings. Located within the area are unidentified
ground scars, some of which appear to be

Ammunition Storage Area
Area F, which is double secured with a
perimeter firebreak, contains 6 probable am-
munition buildings with blast walls at one end.
At each end of the buildings there is a V

is apparent.
