VLADIMIR NAVAL COMPLEX
The Gulf of Vladimira is located along the
southern maritime coast of the USSR (Figure 1),
approximately 166 nautical miles cast-northeast
of Vladivostok, at 43-55N 135-30E.
Naval bases located on the gulf (Figure 2) are
Vladimir Submarine Base
at 43-56N 135-27F and Vladimir Motor Torpedo
Boat Base
have also

The submarine base is located along the
northwestern sector of the gulf. Facilities at
the base (Figure 3) consist of an operations
support area,

a barracks area, an

administrative area, and 3 storage areas.
Facilities in the operations support area
consist of 2 piers suitable for submarine berth-
ing, a third utilized mainly by lighters and
barges, and a fourth probable pontoon pier that
is stored along the beach when not in use.
A probable SIICII-IV-class OSS is aground be-
tween the 2 submarine piers. A dam-like
structure has been constructed perpendicular
