New Rhombic Antennas at Shuangchengtzu Missile Test
Center Rangehead Communications Facility
REFERENCE: NSA/SOC R-38-70; NPIC Project 250558
1. This memorandum has been prepared in response to your requirement
of 26 September 1969 requesting information on the five new rhombic
antennas at the rangehead communications facility (41-08N 100-15E) at the
Shuangchengtzu Missile Test Center (SCTMTC).
2. The new rhombic antennas are positioned in an arc approximately
1,500 feet (500 meters) from the center of the facility and extend halfway
around the eastern side of the facility. The new antennas appear to be
oriented toward stations not served by the other rhombic antennas. The
new antennas are in various stages of construction and may not yet be oper-
