1. In response to the referenced requirement, a search of all available
photography subsequent to 0 was conducted within a ten nautical mile (nm)
radius of the geographic coordinates indicated in the reference for evidence
of electronics facilities. The previously reported Lingshui suspect SIGINT
facility, the Lingshui AD headquarters radar facility, and the Haikou radio
broadcast station were observed with no apparent change. No other electronics
facilities were observed.
2. The Yulin, Lingshui, and Haikou areas were covered by photography;
however, the Baotung, Tuling, and Yingkohai areas on the southwest coast of
Hainan Island were not adequately photographed during the specified period
and it was not possible to completely search the requested ten nautical
mile :radius.
3? Suspect road patterns and clearings were noted on three peninsulas
in the vicinity of Yulin, but no electronics facilities were observed. These
promontories--geographic coordinates listed below--are well situated as
potential radar sites.
