SUBJECT Search for Unidentified Military Units~Facilities
in the Vicinity of Tamsag Bulag, Mongolia

1. In response to the requirement referenced above, a search was
made on photography from Missions within a 15-nautical- 2 5X1 D
mile; radius of Tamsag Bulag (~+7-1~+- N 117-17-15E), Mongolia. Specific
elements searched for include the following:
Military units, weapons, vehicles, and construction equipment;
Military-associated buildings and facilities, including new
construction and stage of completion if not completed;
Electronic and communication equipment facilities, including
antenna orientations, land lines, terminals, etc.

communications equipment were observed, nor were any military-associated
buildings or facilities observed.
~+. The "village" of Tamsag Bulag is mostly ruins and abandoned tent
bases, trenches, and vehicle revetments remaining from World War II. How-
ever, scattered among the remains are approximately 20 buildings, some of
which may be involved in the reported "Soviet ground forces-related communicat~Xa"
