This report locates and describes 14 microwave facilities or possible
microwave facilities along a line between Kuybyshev and Prostornaya, USSR.
Information obtained from Soviet open sources, 25X1
photography has indicated the existence of a television microwave route
from Kuybyshev to Prostornaya. A search of the area reveals the presence
of a completed line between Kuybyshev and Orenburg (Figure 1). Between
Orenburg and Prostornaya the search reveals a suspect microwave facility
at Donguz and a possible microwave tower at Aktyubinsk HF Communications
Facility ENE The microwave facility at Prostornaya is
42 nautical miles west of the north-south microwave link which is re-
ported in Photographic Interpretation Reporti A portion of 25X1
this line is depicted on Figure 1.
Photography used in the search of the entire area is cloud free
and of fair to good interpretability. The following basic descriptions
of 14 facilities are keyed to the location map, Figure 1.
