1. Photography over Canton (Kuang-thou) Shipyard Tung-fang was reviewed
to reconfirm the large cargo vessel seen at this yard as the missile and space
instrumentation ship reported in AK Supplement 2 5X1
Part III, IPIR number 5. Photographic evidence indicates that the large cargo
vessel is the missile instrumentation ship.
2. There is no evidence of an open hold or hatch cover in the area where
hold 3 should be. The hatch covers on holds 1 and 5 are evident, as are hold
openings 2 and ~+. As reported in reference (c), one of the modifications to
the instrumentation ship was the covering over of hold 3.
3. Questions regarding this requirement may be directed to the imagery
analyst, of the Southeast China Branch, EGD~IEG, on
extensions This project is considered to be complete.
