This memorandum is in response to your request for identification of transmit and receive HF and microwave antennas at Kirzhack Space Track- c ki _ _~ p 1 CL~r ng atr.L.L.L Uy I 125X1 A 2. Two previously unreported types of communications antennas have been identified in the control support area for the conventional infero- meters at Kirzhach. The first is TWIN PLATE, a transportable radio relay communication system. It consists of a pair of open mesh circular parabolic dishes on top of truck m ts. At Kirzhach one of the antennas is mounted on a high mast and the second is mounted high mast. Both antennas are oriented on an azimuth of Soviet designator and frequency range are unknown. 3. The second type of communication system newly identified at Kirzhack is TWIN EAR. This troposcatter antennas system consists of a pair of open mesh parabolic dishes mounted on a cross beam. At Kirzhack the cross beam is mounted on a 110 ft 0 high mast near the TWIN 25X1 PLATE antennas. The operating frequency is approximately 4.7 GHz. The Soviet designator is not known. No other communication antennas were observed. 25X1 25X1 D 25X1 D 4+. The communications facilities at Talsi consist of TWIN PLATE and four previously reported dipole antennas. The TWIN PLATE antennas are mounted on F- I high masts and have an orientation of 0 25X1 D The dipole antennas have the following characteristics: Antenna 1 2 3 4 There are no other communications antennas at this installation.
