SOURCE STATEMENT:
"A Russian military installation is located

Havana Province. One hundred and fifty Russian
troops are located at this camp, which covers
an area of sixty-six acres and was constructed
in January 1963. Several different types of
radar have been observed within the camp. In
the center of the camp is a large radar unit
about the size of a small truck. The unit is
irregular in shape and is completely covered
by canvas. A dish-like object projects from
one side of the unit. When a small airplane
passed overhead, the whole apparatus began to
rotate. Other unidentified radar screens, which
are located near the above described unit, pro-
trude from large holes in the ground, which
contain the radar electronic systems. The
holes are covered by camouflage nets for which
stairways have been constructed as entrances.
There are many tunnels in the area."
