A previously identified munitions storage site is located at
26-30N 119-32E, 0.4 nautical mile (nm) south of the city of Lo-Yuan,
China (see Figure 1).
Storage Buildings
This site consists of five large gable-roofed warehouses, one smaller
storage/service building and a small shed. Three of the warehouses (Build-
ings 1-3, Figure 3) have been constructed on aprons which have been cut
into the hillside.
Security
Security at the site is provided by two guardhouses located on hills
adjacent to the storage area with associated observation points and a
guardhouse at the road entrance. The wall which secured the site in
s no longer visible on the most recent aerial photography. An in-
termittent line of trees surrounding the site approximates the position
of the wall which was visible on the earlier photography. Terraced fields
within the storage area are under cultivation (see Figure 2). The appar-
ent downgrading of security measures at this site is not consistent with
practices for CW storage.
The administration and barracks area consists of three buildings, an
athletic field and a guardhouse and is located within the storage area
near the road entrance. The wall which separately secured this area, in
