HSUAN-HUA IRON AND STEEL PLANTS
HSUAN-HUA., CHINA
The Hsuan-Hua Iron and Steel Plants are located at 29 26N - 115 02E
and 39 36N - 115 04E just south and southeast of the city of Hsuan-Hua,
China.
The plant to the south of Hsuan-Hua contains five small inactive
blast furnaces, and six or seven medium size blast furnaces. The plant
to the southeast of Hsuan-Hua contains two by-products coke oven batteries,
a by-products section, two small blast furnaces, six larger blast furnaces,
and a side-blown converter shop. No smoke or traffic activity was
discernable on photography flown in
steam coming from the by-products coke oven batteries. The small scale
and poor quality precluded identification of the other operating facilities.
