1. Unidentified activity on building way.
An unidentified light-toned object can be seen protruding from beneath
a series of weather sheds. This object, with a width of approximately
I I is suggestive of submarine construction activity. The distance
from this object to the end of the sheds nearest the transverser is
approximately 260 feet. This way was previously occupied by two
unidentified patrol craft.
2. Two unidentified patrol craft (visible LOA approx 90').
Both units are partially shed/canvas covered. The unit on the end of
the way furthest from the transverser has a canvas covering over its
midsection while the vessel on the end of the way nearest the transverser
is approximately 75 percent shed covered with only the bow exposed.
Similar appearing units have been seen under construction on the adjacent
building way.
3. Unidentified activity on building way.
This way is covered by a series of weather sheds which have a length
of approximately 365 feet. The sheds have two possible openings along
their length; however, shadows from these sheds over the openings
preclude a determination of any activity. These sheds have a width of
approximately while the sheds which cover the unidentified
activity descrl e in annotation 1 above have a width of approximately

object, with a diameter of approximately (annotation 4a),
can be seen on its transverse axis between the sheds on the northern way.
Possible cylindrical objects were noted on both the transverser near
these ways and on the transverser cradle

1. "R/W" Class submarine (visible waterline length approx 250').
This submarine is obscured by the fitting-out barge. The only
characteristics that can be identified are a narrow hull outline
with the sail positioped approximately 90-95 feet aft of the bow
and a possible bow sonar dome. No sail features can be discerned.
2. Unidentified patrol craft (LOA approx 90') alongside fitting-out
barge.
See annotation 2 (inset), Figure 3 of this re-port. This unit is
similar in appearance to the two unidentified patrol craft seen
under construction on the building ways (see annotation 2, Figure
2). This vessel is probably undergoing fitting-out but the exact
status cannot be determined from this coverage.
