The plant is ad'acent to Moscow/Fili 25X1 Airfield and is served by 25X1 major roads and rail spurs. The plant area is surrounded by 18,000 linear feet of probable masonry/board wall with guard towers. There are 10,700 linear feet of rail spurs and 22,300 linear feet of hard surfaced road, which is 25 feet wide, within the plant. The pre- ceding measurements are to be considered as only approximate. Figures 2, 3, and 4 show the plant area in respectively. All item numbers are keyed to Figure 5 which gives the layout of the plant. Moskva Airframe Plant Fili No 23, originally called the "Gorbunov Plant," was built in the late 1920s or early 1930s. 1/ It was called "Air- frame Plant No 22" until 1941, when it was par- tially evacuated. 1/ By late 1942, however, the plant had been restored sufficiently to operate and was reopened as "Airframe Plant No 23." Reconstruction of buildings damaged by World War II bombings was accomplished in the early post-war years. 1/ Analysis of ~ 25X1 ea a 25X1 a total estimated roof area of approximately 2.1 million square feet with a floorspace estimated at 2.4 million square feet. 1 / Nine buildings constructed between provide an additional 590,370 square feet of roof cover and Approved For Relea0~ photography rev 25X1 -2 - 25X1 25X1 25X11 pp~e~ryed For Releasg~~Op~(~Q~: - 1 A0012000 0057-4 PI - 50 6 5X1 FIGURE 2.
