PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION OAK REPORT
Continuing search of Mission 9022 photography for SSM activity has
resulted in the identification of two additional MRBM launch sites in the
USSR. The sites, located near Kurgancha, which is 45 nautical miles (nm)
west of Samarkand, are of the Inline ;type. Each site has four launch pads,
four missile-ready buildings, and typical support and housing facilities.
At least one newly identified SA-2 SAM launch site has been found in the
vicinity of the two MRBM launch sites. Details follow.

39-39-30N 065-58-20E, 1.2 nm SW of Kurgancha
4 pads placed in a NNE/SSW line
Kurgancha MRBM Launch Site 2
39-39-00N 065-56-20E, 2. 3 nm SW of Kurgancha
4 pads placed in a NE/SW line
As more missile activity is found as a result of the continuing search,
the information will be reported in other OAK supplements.
