Mission Camera Frames Date This brief the result of a preliminary photographic analysis, PUNCHED No Pares J Copy To Declassification review by NIMA/DOD 25X1 D identifies two adjacent probable SAM (surface-to-air missile) sites under construction, located at approximately 46?25;N/7?45'E, about the two sites, 50 nautical miles northwest of Sary Shagan, USSR. One I. which have a common fence, is in the mid/late construction stage and 25X1D has an outside service road and six other service roads leading through probable launch positions. Positioned at;the center o site is a prc a e guidance aci i y un er construction. I The other site, which is in an earlier stage of construction, has initial grading on the complex network of service roads and in the probable g idance area. These two sites are only a portion of a larger complex which will be reported on in a forthcoming brief. The. positioning of two SAM sites adjacent to each other is inconsis- tent with operational SAM sites observed in the USSR.
