This brief, identifying a high-.frequency transmitting site near Sary
Shagan, USSR, is the result of a preliminary photograpijic analysis. The
site, located at approximately 46?01'N/73?30'E, is square, fence-
enclosed, and served by a power line and a dirt road. it contains two
support buildings and a transmitter building, near which is a dry cooling
pond apparently completed. Antennas consist of 5 double rhombics
(2 large and 3 small), for day-night operations. Also present are 19
masts which may support dipoles. Possible switching points are evident
between some of the adjacent masts.
N PTE: Because of the poor quality of base' maps of?this area and the
scattered cloud-cover on the photography, it is emphasised that the geo-
graphic positioning of this site is only approximate at this time.
