SEARCH FOR GUIDED MISSILE ACTIVITY AND ITEMS OF INTELLIGENCE
INTEREST ALONG THE TULUN-ZIMA SECTION OF THE
TRANS-SIBERIAN RAILROAD, EAST SIBERIA, USSR
The 139-kilometer section of the Trans-Siberian Railroad between Tulun
(54-35N lOO-33E) and Zima (53-55N 102-041E) was covered by excellent
25X1 quality photography on The
photography of this area was studied primarily to locate and describe any
unidentified, unusual installations that might possibly be related to guided
missile activity, and also to locate and identify any items of intelligence
significance.
In the approximately 3, 000 -square-nautical-mile area covered by the
accompanying photomosaic, no unidentified, unusual installations were
observed that appeared to bear any relation to the Soviet guided missile
program.
Items of intelligence interest were observed at the following locations.
They are numbered to correspond to the numbers on the accompanying
photomosaic.

appears to have doubled in size since WW II.
2. SHERAGUL Large log-storage yard and sawmill. A narrow-gauge
railroad leads 30 km north to extensive logging activity.
3. TULYUSHKA Large log-storage yard and sawmill. A narrow-gauge
railroad leads 30 km north to extensive logging activity.

4. KIMELTEY A narrow-gauge railroad leads 50 km west to extensive
logging activity.
