SANTA CLARA SAM SITE (COMOR On a new SAM site was observed 5.3 nautical miles (nm) NNW of Santa Clara at 22-29-OON 80-00-OOW. The Site contains 6 unrevetted launchers, 7 missile transporters, 3 probable canvas-cov- ered - tracked prime movers, at least 4 other vehicles, and an occupied guidance area with radar and 7 vans. Three large, 3 medium and 2 small tents are also evident at the site. previously observed tanks/SP guns (approxi- mately 40) were missing from the tank park. Twenty-nine tanks/SP guns were observed just outside the tank park parked in formation. The 29 tanks/SP guns normally observed at the En- campment 2.2 nm SE were no longer present 25X1 D and it is believed that they were the ones 25X1 D no apparent change since except at the Main Camp where 30 tanks/SP guns (26 in the tank park) were observed. 25XI D 4. ESMERALDA SAM SITE (COMOR - revealed that the site had been abandoned. Approximately 14 vehicles remained. 5. SANCTI SPIRITUS SAM SITE (COMOR 25X1A revealed the site to be active and normal except for the guidance area, where the equipment was disarranged. On _ the site was nearly abandoned. The 25X1 D launch positions and guidance area were vacant and only one canvas-covered missile trans- porter, 3 launchers, and 11 tracked prime movers remained. 6. CIEGO DE AVILA SAM ASSEMBLY AREA (COMOR- 25X1A revealed that, in addition to the normal complement of missile equipment, 4 launchers, 2 probable launchers, 5 canvas-covered missile trans- porters, 6 van trucks (trailers) and 2 unidenti- fied vehicles were parked in convoy formation in the area. On 25X1 D the area was nearly abandoned. Only 4 25X1 D missile transporters and an undetermined number of missile canisters remained in the area. 25X1A 7. One missile on a dolly, 10 tracked prime movers, 4 tractor-trailer trucks and an undetermined number of missile canisters were observed at the site. Four missile transporters, 10 tracked prime movers, 5 cargo trucks, one utility truck, and 15 missile canisters were observed at the site. 9. CHAMBAS SAM SITE (COMOR- On the site was occupied; however, 3 of the 4 barracks were being dismantled. On the launch positions and guidance area were vacant. Three probable launchers, one van trailer, and 2 probable cargo trucks were observed at the site. 25X1A revealed SAM equipment parked at the northern end of the airfield. This Equipment included 7 canvas- covered missile transporters, one probable canvas-covered missile transporter, 6launch- ers, 7 van trailers, approximately 9 tracked prime movers, and 7 other vehicles or pieces of equipment. Two FISHBED, 7 FAGOT, and one HOUND were observed on the airfield. On the SAM equipment was no longer present. Two FISHBED, 2 FARMER, and 8 FAGOT/FRESCO were observed on the airfield. revealed 2 FISHBED, one probable FISHBED, 5 FAGOT/ FRESCO, 6 HOUND, and one LIAISON. revealed 3 FISHBED, 11 FAGOT/FRESCO, one CRATE, one LIAISON, and 5 HOUND. 12. MATANZAS SAM SITE (COMOR _ revealed, in addition to the normhl complement of equip- ment, a convoy of 6 canvas-covered missile transporters 3 launchers, and 3 cargo trucks parked at the site. Seven van trailers were observed parked outside the ring of launchers; otherwise, the site appeared normal. On the site appeared normal except that the convoy was no longer present. The van trailers remained parked outside the ring of launchers. 25X1A 13. CIEGO DE AVILA SAM SITE (COMOR 25X1A 25X1 D revealed that the launch positions and guidance area were vacant. One canvas-covered missile trans- porter, 12 tracked prime movers, and 3 cargo trucks were observed at the site. On 14. CAMAGUEY INTERNATIONAL AIRFIELD (COMDR- 25X1A revealed 3 FISHBED, 2 FAGOT, and 2 derelict FAGOT. revealed 25X1 D 2 FISHBED, one FARMER, 2 FAGOT/FRESCO, 2 derelict FAGOT/FRESCO, and one HARE. 15. MAYARI ARRIBA MILITARY INSTALLA- TION (COMOR - 25X1 A revealed that, in addition to the normal complement of vehicles and equipment, one cruise missile, 2 tank trucks, and 3 van trucks were in a cleared area just west of the main installation. 16. LIMONAR MILITARY CAMP SE (COMOR 25X1A revealed that, in addition to the normal complement of vehicles and equipment, 2 canvas-covered missile transporters were parked in the main revealed 6 canvas-covered missile transporters. ARTEMISA MILITARY CAMP (COMOR 25X1A revealed that the FROG missile transporters and associ- ated equipment were no longer present in the secured FROG Park. 25X1A 25X1 D revealed 10 probable FROG missile transporters at the camp area. .
