These areas represent across section of the soft,. MRBM, and IRBM launch areas deployed in the Soviet Union. Type III--Soft IRBM launch area consisting of four elongated pads arranged in an inline con- figuration and separated by more than 700 feet. Kr_emovo, a pre-selected area for this re- port, has since been negated by NPIC as an MRBM launch area and, therefore, is not in- cluded.
