Search for Hydro-Electric Power Plant in the Vicinity
of Shih-chuan, China.

1. This memorandum is forwarded in response to the above mentioned
requirement which.concerns location and description of a reported power
plant located near Shih-chuan, China.
2. A search of all available photography did not reveal the presence
of a hydro-electric power plant in the requested search area. Also, there
were no indicators of construction activity along the rivers within this area.
A map and photo mosaic (See Figures 2 and 3), have been included to outline
the search area.
3. The area of search, centering on the city of Shih-chuan covered an
area approximately 1,750 square miles. Within this area the complete-river
system was scanned for dams or~any indication of dam-like construction. The
photo mosaic (Figure 2) shows most of the search area involved in this study.
