This report is a partial answer to DIA
requirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the location
of selected military installations in Hungary
and to perform a photo analysis to determine
function, number and dimensions of buildings, to
estimate troop capacity, to identify and describe
related training areas, and to confirm or negate
ammunition and POL storage.
TALENT photography of was used
to determine functions and dimensions of build-
ings. KEYHOLE photography o
revealed no apparent change. Troop capacity
for the installations covered in this report is
1,917.*
The installations described below are shown
in Figure 1.

This secured military installation one mile
northwest of Baja covers approximately 27 acres
and contains:
1 E-shaped probably two-story barracks
building, the base 195 by 25, one wing
60 by 15, and two wings 40 by 15 feet
3 probably one-story barracks buildings,
one 100 by 30, one 60 by 25, and one
40 by 35 feet, a total for the four bar-
racks buildings of 19,850 square feet of
floor space
1 storage building 80 by 40 feet, with a total
of 3,200 square feet
2 vehicle sheds, one 120 by 20 and one 120
by 15 feet
7 miscellaneous support buildings ranging

northwest edge of Baja covers approximately
11 acres and contains:
2 L-shaped probably two-story barracks
buildings, one with a base 180 by 45 and
a wing 80 by 45 feet, and one with a base
160 by 30 and a wing 75 by 40 feet
1 U-shaped probably two-story barracks
building with a base 135 by 40 feet and
two wings each 130 by 35 feet
1 probably two-story barracks building 160
by 25 feet, a total for the four barracks
buildings of 76,000 square feet
1 vehicle shed 240 by 30 feet
4 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 65 by 30 to 40 by 25 feet
no observed ammunition or POL storage.
