1. In accordance with the above referenced requirement
the Wan Kun ground pattern and support area was studied on good
uslity photography of
2. This area is located 18 nautical miles (nm) south of
Wan Kung just north of the Hui Ho River at coordinates 48-53N
The rectangular and circular ground patterns reported
in MCI appear to be agricultural in nature.
3. The rectangular area is approximately 8000 by 400 feet
with rounded ends, the slightly irregular circle is approximately
1500 feet in diameter with a building; in the center. The tone of
es patterns is suggestive of an area that has been mown. The
photography reveals the building which is in the center of
photography displays several circular and rectangular
agricultural patterns in the general area. The support area 3 am
southeast of the patterns is probably a coupe center including
buildings for storage, equipment and housing.
4. The Lop Nor circle is a line instead of a solid tone and
is larger, 13,000 feet in diameter. The-se two patterns appear to
be entirely dissimilar.
