Kuzino (57-01N 59-27E) is 46 miles west of Sverdlovsk at the junction
of the double-track Trans-Siberian Railroad (Route 410)* and the single-track
Lysva-Druzhinino-Berdyaush Railroad (Route 452). The only available pho-
tography of Kuzino, taken in is hazy and partially cloudy, thus
precluding a more detailed photo analysis of this railroad center.
As shown on the accompanying line drawing, the rail facilities at Kuzino
include the following:
Rail yard, 12-15 tracks wide, 3, 000 feet long
Rail yard, eight or nine tracks wide, 3, 000 feet long
Three locomotive or car repair shops, 260 feet by 90 feet, 170 by 85 feet
and 160 by 80 feet ?
Service rail yard, seven or eight tracks wide and 1, 900 feet long,
adjacent to the repair shops
Turning wye, effective length 1, 180 feet
Coal storage yard, 1, 500 by 260 feet, served by five or six tracks
