A probable radar depot and a possible
radar checkout/acceptance area (Figure 1) are
situated 6.9 nm NNE of Cheng-tu and 2.9 nm
NNE of Feng-huang-shan Airfield.
The wall-secured probable radar depot con-
sists of a storage area and an administration and
housing area. The storage area contains 27
warehouses (7 of which are drive-through)
with a total of 350,000 square feet of floor
space, a transloading stied approximately 350
by 25 feet, and a vehicle shed. The administra-
tion and housing area contains 10 barracks,
5 administration buildings, 5 support buildings,
20 small sheds, and a water tower. There are
six guard towers immediately inside the wall.
The depot is served by a spur from the
Cheng-tu -- Hsi-an rail line and a road from the
Cheng-tu -- Hsi-an road. A convoy composed
of 5 van trucks, 4 cargo trucks, one probable
radar van trailer, 2 cargo trailers (possibly
antenna carriers), one crane, and one probable

frequent use. In the area are 7.radars,5 of
which are probable MOON CONE and 2 of which
are possible MOON CONE radars. Four of the
probable and one of the possible N40ON CONEs
each has an associated control building, and
one of the probable and one of the possible
