SUBJECT: Search for IRBM Activity Near Chita, USSR and Status of Launch
Site A at Drovyanaya

1. This memorandum is in response to your requirement dated 4 February 1964
requesting a search of the Chita area, USSR for IRBK activity and the status of
Launch Site A at Drovyanaya.
2. The presence of temporary I-REM launch facilities within or near the
Drovyanaya or Olovyannaya ICBM Launch Complexes could neither be confirmed nor
25X1D denied on KEYHOLE,photography of The same is true for the area along the
trans-Siberian for 100 miles east a west of Chita as well as along the branch
line as far south as Olovyannaya.
3. A re-examination of Launch Site A at Dr na.ya on Mission
25X1D which was the latest cover prior to reveals the site is under
construction and that the launch p s have no een completed.

on extension 2705 should you have any further questions concerning this project.
5. This project is considered to be complete.
