1. This memorandum is in response to your requirement dated 25 February
1964, requesting a search of the area near (within 30 miles) 43-lON 77-20E in
the mountains east of Alma Ata for a reported optical satellite tracking
station.
2. Approximately seventy-five (75) percent o the e uested sea ch 25X1D
area was covered on good quality photography from
o The entire sea ch a ea was covered on various mATFNm and KEYHOLE missions
25X1D ~ prior to - ranging from poor to good in uality. Scattered to
heavy clouds at the higher elevations on all coverage hampered search efforts.
No tracking station or suspect areas were noted.

contacted on extension 31+10 should you have any further questions concerning
this project. '
