SHIPYARD PETROVKA, USSR Pctrovka shipyard is located on a small bay on the east shore of Lssuriyskiy Bay, 2.7 nautical miles (nn1)south- west of Pctrovka, immediately northwest of 13olshov Kamen and 20 nm east of Vladivostok at 43-07N 132-20E (Figure 1). I R O \ K \ *. \akhodka 1-acilities at the shipyard (1-igure 2)includc five piers, a mole, shop buildings, cranes, a probable transverser, probable shipways, a wet dock, a stores area, an area under construction, housing, support and storage areas. I he instal- lation is rail and road served. Operations Area. The five piers are road served. Piers I, II and Ill are probably of heavy construction to support fitting out operations. They are 780 by 45 feet, and 375 by by 25X1 eet respectively. Piers IV and V are 220 feet. Approximately 1,650 feet of quavedshoreline exists in this area. A floating dock transporter is usually mediterranean moored in the dock be- tvveen piers I and 11. The 510- by 265-foot mole appears to be rock-filled behind bulkheads. It supports two buildings 270 by 35 feet and 140 by 45 feet. The wet dock is 450 by 320 feet inside (550 by 400 feet overall) with a >-foot wide entrance. Facilities consist of two quays, 320 by 300 feet long, the latter supporting a -1 -head crane, 22 storage/support-type buildings \w ith 161, 00 square feet of floor space, two miscellaneous small buildings and a walled open storage area. Construction Area. Facilities in the con- struction area consist of two large bulk-headed fill areas containing three probable shop build- ings 240 by 220, 240 by 55 and 170 by 40 feet, eight storage buildings ,\'ith approximately 50,000 square feet of floor space, one 115- by T5-foot administration/housing building and 10 miscellaneous small buildings. 1 wo road-served underground entrances are located on the north shore of the liar. Facilities in the housing area consist of _u four-story barracks with 1,195,700 square feet of floor space, 72 two-story multiple dwelling units with approximately 1,426,000- -c;uare feet, an administration-type building, with 44,'00 square feet, nine single dwellings v ith 3,700 square feet, five storage-type buildings with 29,200 square feet and 11) small miscel- laneous buildings. Support Area. Facilities in the support area consist of 16 storage-type buildings with 125,600 square feet of floor space, a secured storage building with 7,450 square feet, a wailed area containing an administration-type complex building with 21,000 square feet and two small miscellaneous buildings.
