The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the Ap1C photographic analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pic (t)IA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the NPIC: Photographic Anal}~sis Group. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. A\ hen a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,. TOP SECRET RUFF TOP SECRET RUFF GRODNO AMMUNITION DEPOT KELBASIN SW (53-38N 023-45E) GRODNO, GRODNENSKAYA OBLAST, USSR 25X1A 25X1 C TOP SECRET RUFF TOP SECRET RUFF Grodno Ammunition Depot Kelbasin 5\V is located 6 kilometers (km) southwest of Grodno (53-41N 023-50E) on the south side of the Grodno- Augustow (Poland) rail line (Figure 1). A spur from the main rail line serves the installation, and a probable all-weather secondary road con- nects with the Grodno-Augustow highway. Kel- basin Army Barracks (AL-6) is located 1.5 km northeast. A small training area is one km west. Other military installations are located in Grodno. This installation covers approximately 30 acres (Figures 2 and 3). The ammunition storage area is double secured on three sides with un- determined security on the north side, where two rail sidings sc _-vc the area. The installation con- tains seven storage buildings, eight revetted ammunition storage. buildings, and three support 25X1 D buildings. 1 he area was covered by 10 KEYHOLE missions between _ Comparative analysis revealed the same general level of usage over this period. The only change observed was the addition of one storage building between 25X1 D 25X1 D A spur from the Grodno-Augustoww rail line connects with two rail sidings serving the area. Road Service A probable all-weather secondary road con- nects with the Grodno-Augustow highway. 25X1 D Area E1 contains seven storage buildings, one added between Track activity indicates a moderate level of usage during the summer, reduced during the winter. Area F1 contains eight revetted buildings (90 by 70 feet, 90 by 45 feet, 85 by 45 feet, 75 -bv 60 feet, 75 by 55 feet, 75 by 40 feet, 60 by 45 feet and 60 by 35 feet) and one support building. The buildings are located in woods. Track activity indicates a moderate level of usage during the summer, reduced during the winter.
