installations bring prepared fora 1IA CIA Panel. Thu scrius is being
coordinated, published and dissc:nina:cd by APIC. The photographic
analysis is brief, performed by ih_ Ai'IC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CLA Photographic Intulligencc Division (\l'1C), and the Production
Center 11'lc MIA). l he photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the AP1C Photographic Analysis Group.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities obscrvcd at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project rcduiremuilt. Al hen a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter dcs:cnator arc omitted in ihe.rQport.

A secured tora_e area, formerly a facil-
ity of 1'olotsk Army Barracks South (BL No
is located 0.7 kilometers (km)
south of Polotsk 5S-20\ 02S-4 l0 on the south
bank of the Dvina River, and on the north side
of the Polotsk-V"ileyka rail line kI igure 1).
I he installation is served by a spur from the
Polotsk-Vileyka rail line and has all-weath,_-
primary road connection` to Polotsk. Si\ km
to the north on the north side of Polotsk is the
Polotsk Army Barracks and Maneuver Area
and 1S km to the
northwest is Polotsk Army Barracks Borovukha
Ilae storage area has
access to both barracks areas via urban streets.
1-he installation (1- i_ures 2 and 3) covers
approximately 70 acres and includes one admin-
istration, one barrack,, 14 storage and 11 sup-

active Army Barracks and Storage f=acility 25X1A
known as Polotsk Army Barracks South (BE No

motor pools have been removed and a related

returned to cultivation. The installation has
decreased in overall size by 20 acres. No rail
or road activity was observed during the winter
months, and the level of summer activity ap-
pears to have greatly decreased.
DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION

Railroad Service
The storage area itself is servedby a single
track sour from the double-tracked Polotsk-
V'ileyka rail line that passes adjacent to the
south side of the installation.
Road Service
All-weather primary roads serve the area
from Polotsk.
Administrative and Troop Housing Area
Area D1 (Figure 3) contains one multistory
-I -shaped administration building, one multi-
story barracks, and one support building. Since
the military upkeep of this area has de-
terior-ated and no longer reveals well-defined
track activity.
General Storage Areas
Area L1 contains four storage and eight
small support buildings located alpti;g the rail
spur as it enters the area. Area L2 contains
10 storage and two support buildings and the
terminus of the rail spur. Both areas appear
inactive during the winter.
