The photographic analysis is being performed by the \PIC Photographic analysis Group. the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division 'NPICI), and the Production Center II'Ic (1)1,\). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the Production Center 1 P .1c. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. Within the installation are six probable multistory barracks, seven probable vehicle storage maintenance buildings, seven probable storage buildings, and four support buildings .Figures 2 and 3a. '% itl~in ( hernovtsv is one marshalling yard. No repair facilities were noted. There are several hard surface roads in and around the probable barracks and storage area and the petroleum storage area. Aircraft Landing Strips Two airfields ire near Chernovtsy. A grass strip 6.200 by 2,400 feet is located two km southeast of the city. Chernovtsv North- west Airfield with a 6,600- by 200-foot concrete run~~ay is 16 km northwest of the cite. s Administrative and Troop Housing Area Area h Iiure 3) contains six probable multistory barracks capable of housing 1,500 troops, one 3^0- by 40-foot and six 250- by 40-foot probable vehicle storage 'maintenance buildings, seven probable storage buildings, and four support buildings. .\rea G contains 16 vertical petroleum stor- age tanks, four 45 feet in diameter, five 25 feet in diameter, five 25 feet in diameter, and seven 20 feet in diameter.
